I am an oil painter focused primarily on landscapes, working in a loose, painter style that sometimes drifts into more detail. I am especially drawn to strong compositions and guiding the viewer’s eye through space. My pieces are inspired by locations I have experienced personally, which often create an instant connection with people who have similar experiences.
I began pursuing art seriously in 2022 after leaving my full-time job to build my art business, returning to the passion I have had since high school. I work from photos I take or paint plein air, starting with value and composition studies before quickly building shapes and adding finishing details. My current focus is continually improving my eye for composition while exploring new landscapes through travel domestically and abroad..
